Certified Clinical Medical Assistant provides care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices. They coordinate with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and active patient participation in planning and care, and assist physicians or other providers with clinical procedures. The role involves physical demands such as full range of motion, occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, and use of a computer keyboard; may involve exposure to communicable diseases and/or autoclave sterilization; work setting is a medical office environment with potential for varied hours. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, clinical experience in a medical setting, and current CPR/BLS certification (preferred). Current certification as a medical assistant or eligibility for certification is preferred, along with potential certification through the CMM MA exam course if not yet certified at time of employment.
