Job Summary
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant provides direct and/or telephone patient care, assists physicians with clinical procedures, coordinates with the care team for seamless delivery, and engages in active patient participation in planning and care. Must be capable of handling physical demands (lifting up to 100 pounds, long periods of standing/sitting), working in a medical office environment, and maintaining accurate documentation; CPR/BLS certification is preferred and certification through the CMM MA exam may be required if not yet certified at time of employment. Work hours are M-F, 9 AM–5 PM, in Cedarhurst, NY, with temp-to-perm status.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office / clinic or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Record of prior stable employment and / or favorable references
