Job Summary
Coordinate educator certification processes and manage large test events, including logistics, scheduling, and proctor placement. Supervise wage and student employees, recruit and train testing instructors, and verify eligibility for TExES exams. Implement certification standards, research deficiency plans, and clear students for Student Teaching and certificate applications. Submit data to the Texas Education Agency, maintain the TK-20 System, and serve as a liaison between the University and public school districts. This full-time, in-office role at Tarleton State University's Stephenville campus requires 8 AM–5 PM hours and includes serving as a Campus Security Authority. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with five years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field
- Five years of related experience
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
- Knowledge of University, State, and Federal laws, regulations, and policies
- Knowledge of the Family Education Rights Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
- Excellent organizational skills
- Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)
- Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate which may entail some evenings and weekends pending scheduled activities
- Travel required
