Job Summary
Conduct play-based educational programs for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years in a long day care service operating 7:15am to 5:45pm. Implement sustainable practices and foster active learning in an outdoor environment with a spacious playground. Support children's transition to school through local excursions and maintain a child-safe culture aligned with the Early Years Learning Frameworks. Work Monday to Friday on a rotating roster while upholding attachment theory and playspaces practices.
Required Qualifications
- ACCEQA recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- current and Valid NSW Working with Children Check
- National Child Safety Training Certificate
- completed training in Child Protection (CHCPRT025)
- understanding of the legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- relevant working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010)
- sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Experience working with infants and toddlers
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge in the implementation of 'Attachment Theory' and 'Playspaces' practices
- willingness to undertake training in Circle of Security, Attachment Theory
- Working knowledge in the implementation of sustainable practices
- Environmental awareness issues in Early Childhood Education
