Job Summary
Phlebotomist responsible for venipuncture and related specimen-collection procedures across age groups, accurate labeling and documentation, LIS data entry, and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards. Serves as a departmental ambassador delivering professional customer service, supports clerical duties, participates in quality improvement, and may require on-site training for urine drug screen and breath alcohol testing. Requires high school diploma or GED with preferred accredited phlebotomy coursework; certification as PBT/CPT is required; role includes patient instruction, specimen handling, and collaboration with the Phlebotomy Team lead. Work is full-time at Hillsboro Family Medicine, Adena Health System, with emphasis on accuracy, patient care, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT)
- CPR and/or EKG as needed depending on position (not required for all roles)
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the high school level
