Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and maintaining inventory of drugs and medications; assists with maintaining patient records, creating reports, labeling medications and auditing controlled substances, while adhering to infection control and Quality Assurance standards. Requires CPHT/PTCB certification and RI Tech II license, high school diploma or hospital-based program, and availability for rotating shifts, including alternating weekends/holidays, plus travel between CNE units.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Experience in pharmacy or hospital-based training leading to Pharmacy Technician certification
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
- CPHT certification
- Licensed through RI Board of Pharmacy as a Tech II
- Available for rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) and every other weekend and every other holiday
- Ability to travel between CNE operating units and off-site facilities
- Proficiency with computers
- Good interpersonal skills
- English language proficiency
