Job Summary
Observe patients, report observations, and document care performed to promote quality, continuity, and safety. Maintain patient and team confidentiality while assisting with personal needs under Registered Nurse supervision. Complete skills competency upon hire and ensure current State Registry certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide. Maintain a licensed driver's status with an insured, working vehicle. Lift up to 100 pounds with assist and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Do not administer medications, take physician orders, or transport patients.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or the equivalent with GED
- Completed a State approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program
- Current on the State Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Current on the State Registry as a Home Health Aide within 30 days of employment
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order
- Vehicle insured in accordance with agency requirements
- Current CPR
- Successfully complete the skills competency upon hire
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to lift 100 pounds with assist
Desired Qualifications
- One year minimum of experience working in the patient care setting
- Experience as a patient care provider
