Job Summary
Lead, sign off, and develop the strategic direction of the CERN Courier; liaise with CERN and global high-energy physics communities; commission and edit expert-authored feature articles; write news and other articles; manage and grow the cerncourier.com website and social media; supervise the magazine’s editorial team; collaborate with production and marketing teams. Requires PhD or equivalent in Particle Physics or related field, proven research in particle physics, and proven editorial/communications experience with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 40 hours per week, onsite in Geneva under a limited-duration contract (5 years) with relocation package available.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent relevant experience in Particle Physics or related field
- Essential: A proven track record of research in particle physics or closely related subject
- Proven experience in an editorial/communications role
- Experience in managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines
