Job Summary
Ceremonies/Events Support Analyst supports planning and execution of ceremonies, VIP events, and related functions for the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) G-3 at Fort Benning, GA. Responsibilities include coordinating with units for ceremonies, briefing officials, distributing instructions and SOPs, scheduling the MCoE Band for approved functions, processing equipment requests (bleachers, chairs, flags, etc.), coordinating daily/less frequent activities (boards, escorts, investigations, live-fire support, instruction programs, color guard), and preparing correspondence, reports, surveys, charts, and tables from rough drafts to final form. Requires basic MS Office skills, strong communications, knowledge of military protocol, and a degree in Protocol, Military Studies, Communications, Marketing, or Diplomacy (or equivalent experience); active Secret Clearance is required. Travel is possible.
Required Qualifications
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
- Strong communications skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work cooperatively with military / civilian workforce
- Working knowledge / understanding of military protocol / chain of command
- Degree in Protocol, Military Studies, Communications, Marketing, or Diplomacy (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in planning and execution of high-visibility events and knowledge and experience in military protocol (VIP / General Officer GO level)
- Former Senior NCO or Officer with similar experience is preferred
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is Required
- Location: Fort Benning, GA
- Travel: Some Travel will be required
