Job Summary
Executive leader responsible for revenue generation, commercialization, and regulatory governance for Systemic Trust Company’s Canadian digital asset custody platform. Owns and drives institutional relationships with Canadian family offices and crypto-native funds, originates and closes mandates, leads pipeline development, RFP responses, and pitch leadership, and maintains executive-level engagement with key accounts. Oversees governance and regulatory alignment under Alberta law, represents STC at industry and regulatory events, and builds strategic partnerships with prime brokers, OTC desks, exchanges, and fund administrators. Role requires on-site client-facing activity with frequent travel, and is based in Calgary with willingness to relocate or operate from within Canada, in a hybrid work arrangement. Reports to the Board and collaborates with CCO and CTO; requires strong senior leadership, commercial acumen, and deep understanding of regulated asset custody and crypto markets.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, law or related discipline.
- MBA, CFA or equivalent graduate credential is a meaningful asset but not required where operating experience is strong.
- Regulatory requirements: fit-and-proper requirements under Alberta LTCA and related approvals prior to appointment.
- Experience in regulated financial environments with familiarity with LTCA, NI 31-103 qualified custodian requirements, and FINTRAC AML/ATF obligations.
