Job Summary
Create and edit schedules for nursing departments into the electronic staffing system, assigning specialty roles and balancing skill mixes to ensure unit efficiency. Approve or deny schedule requests and timecard attestations while communicating critical staffing needs to nurse managers. Manage unplanned shift vacancies within 24 hours of shift time by contacting available staff, acquiring additional personnel, or reducing scheduled staff to meet forecasted needs. Maintain daily unit/department schedules, prepare accurate timecards, and distribute staffing reports to appropriate leaders. This role supports the Resource Optimization Center at Roper St. Francis Healthcare, a leading Lowcountry healthcare system with over 6,000 employees.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience with staffing & scheduling software
- Associate degree in business, Data Management, or Related Field
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
