Job Summary
Process and send referrals to internal specialists, diagnostic testing sites, and hospitals while attaching clinical information. Notify patients of appointments and special instructions via telephone, mail, or email, and track outstanding referrals within recommended timeframes. Handle third-party requests and panel management inquiries, responding to questions and concerns in accordance with customer service standards. Monitor inbound and outbound calls, manage record and document files, and meet daily targets provided by the Centralized Programs Manager. Adhere to privacy laws including the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Health Information Act. Join a growing network of healthcare clinics dedicated to improving patient experience across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years in a Medical Office Assistant position
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information in compliance with regulated guidelines
- Excellent communication skills in English

- Experience with EMR software
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
