Job Summary
Lead and execute the campaign's political and coalition strategy across Central Texas by building relationships with elected officials, community leaders, labor partners, and faith organizations. Identify, recruit, and cultivate endorsers and surrogate speakers while developing and managing regional political events, roundtables, and stakeholder briefings. Supervise the Central Texas Political Associate, prepare briefing materials and strategic recommendations, and track outreach using campaign databases. Represent the campaign at civic events throughout the region and identify emerging opportunities to strengthen local presence. Requires 3–5 years of campaign experience, knowledge of the Central Texas landscape, and ability to work nights and weekends. Reports to the Deputy Political Director with remote base and statewide travel.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of campaign, government, labor, nonprofit, or political organizing experience
- Strong knowledge of the Central Texas political landscape, including elected officials, advocacy organizations, and community leaders
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced campaign environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work nights and weekends as campaign needs require
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and political tools (e.g., NGP, VAN)
- Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel frequently throughout Central Texas
