Job Summary
Central Supply Equipment Technician responsible for storage and distribution of patient care equipment across departments, clinics, and nursing units. Duties include maintaining equipment in the central supply room, logging repairs and rentals, expensing issued items in MMIS, cleaning and sanitizing equipment per manufacturer guidelines, adhering to infection control procedures, maintaining par levels, restocking crash carts, assisting in obtaining supplies from the warehouse, and tracking equipment usage and department needs. Requires use of MMIS system, attention to documentation accuracy, and compliance with hospital policies. Education: High School diploma or GED; six months related experience preferred. The role supports Driscoll Health System’s compassionate care vision in a 191-bed pediatric tertiary care setting in South Texas.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- preferred; additional certification relevant to the job duties from a college or technical school
