Job Summary
Unpack, check, and store nursing supplies upon receipt while reporting discrepancies to the appropriate person. Ensure orders are correct, bills are turned in for payment, and accounts for all supplies and bills with appropriate Medicare status. Stock nursing stations and clinics, audit and track inventory, and order supplies while maintaining budget controls. Verify vendors provide appropriate safety sheets and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding infection control and hazardous materials. Properly file reports and documentation, assist the Lead Central Supply Clerk with department needs, and deliver supplies to the correct locations. Requires six months of experience in central supply or inventory, strong computer literacy, and proficiency with inventory software.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least six months of experience in the central supply, inventory, accounting, bookkeeping, or equivalent experience
- High level of efficiency and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Computer literacy and strong typing skills
- Experience with inventory software
- Comprehensive knowledge of billing procedures and principles
- Must keep all required certificates and/or licenses current
