Job Summary
Supports Infection Control by collecting, cleaning, disinfecting and distributing portable patient care equipment; cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments and endoscopes; prepares instrument trays/packages for sterilization; assists in training new hires; operates and documents results of decontamination/sterilization equipment; transports and inventories sterile equipment and supplies across units including OR and L&D.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- CRCST/CBSPD Certification required within 6 months of employment, CER preferred
