Job Summary
Distribute reusable supplies and equipment while ensuring decontamination through cleaning and terminal sterilization according to pre-established guidelines. Assist the supervisor in daily departmental activities, including orienting new associates, and maintain effective workflow within the Central Sterile Supply Department. Actively guard patient, staff, and health system confidentiality while demonstrating problem-solving skills and collaborative relationships. Maintain status as a Certified Central Service Technician and uphold CARES values of Commitment, Action, Respect, Excellence, and Service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification through IAHCSMM or equivalent within 18 months of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years as a technician of Central Sterile Supply
