Job Summary
Deliver sterilized surgical instrumentation and disinfect medical devices for patient care areas by achieving competencies in decontamination, prep, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution. Assemble case carts and supplies for Perioperative Services, while restocking and issuing specialty carts, crash carts, and requisitioned medical devices throughout EAMC. Maintain advance knowledge of surgical instruments, their uses, locations, and appropriate substitutions to promote the highest quality reprocessing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
- Advance knowledge of surgical instruments, their uses, location and appropriate substitutions
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years' experience as a Certified Instrument Tech II
- CSPDT or CRCST
