Central Registration Scheduler (CHEMO INFUSION )

Medical Oncology clinic infusion scheduler role focused on administrative and clerical duties to manage patient registration and patient financial obligations. Responsibilities include obtaining demographic, billing, and insurance information and entering it into registration/billing systems; providing patients with information about insurance and payment procedures; completing pre-certification and authorizations; preparing consent forms and obtaining electronic signatures; collecting deposits, co-payments, deductibles, and patient liabilities; preparing patient armbands for identification; balancing daily receipts and cash drawers; following up on accounts as indicated by system alerts; initiating various screenings and collecting information for coverage; performing medical necessity checks and completing Advanced Beneficiary Notices as needed; scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling patients in line with hospital workflows; checking order completeness and validating orders against scheduled services; and applying knowledge of medical insurance requirements for payment and basic medical terminology. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively, attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment.
