Job Summary
The Central Registration Clerk role combines central registration and administrative clerk duties under the Director of Clinic Administrative Services. Responsibilities include verifying and coordinating insurance authorizations, assisting with eligibility, collecting co-payments and past-due balances, greeting and checking in clients, scheduling for medication providers and clinicians, coordinating with the health information coordinator on medical records requests, filing/scanning client documentation within one business day, and providing general administrative support including data entry. Requires high school level education and strong communication and organizational skills; prior medical office experience and familiarity with insurance procedures are preferred. Schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday, 12pm–8pm, in Quincy, MA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years office experience preferred
- Medical office experience preferred
- Basic understanding of insurance requirements
- Computer literacy
- Telephone experience
- Understanding of filing system
