Job Summary
Receive, record, and sort donated goods according to Kaizen guidelines and processing standards while maintaining full compliance with audits and 5-minute drill requirements. Meet or exceed established production goals through efficiency, process improvement, and productivity. Assist across all production areas, including donation intake, merchandising, and cleaning, with cross-training to cover additional duties as needed. Provide courteous customer service when interacting with donors, staff, and team members. This full-time role supports Goodwill's mission of creating community opportunities in Fort Myers, FL, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance alongside a 403(b) plan.
Required Qualifications
- Physical ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds
- Sufficient mobility to turn, bend, kneel, lean, and reach to perform processing duties on the sales floor and in the backroom
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Willing to work in environments where temperatures and climate may fluctuate
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow processing and pricing guidelines as outlined by the Kaizen system and pricing guide
