Job Summary
Central Planning & Analysis Associate in Consumer & Community Banking leads budgeting and forecasting, coordinating short- and long-term earnings and capital projections across economic scenarios. Partners with P&A and finance teams to understand business results and prepares management reports and presentations for senior leadership including the Operating Committee and Board. Responsibilities include preparing, consolidating, reviewing, and analyzing budgets and mid-year forecasts, preparing Board and regulator updates, tracking quarterly earnings, balance sheet analytics (spot & average), Net Interest Income and Net Interest Margin analytics, and driving performance drivers. Requires advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience in financial consolidation and presentation, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in finance/planning in banking or financial services are required; a self-starter mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Preference for experience with Essbase and Hyperion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years professional experience in handling large amount of data, analyzing P&L and balance sheet drivers
- Previous experience in a finance / planning role in banking or financial services
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
- Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis and presentation of financials
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
- Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
- Preferred qualifications: Experience with internal financial systems such as Essbase and Hyperion
