Job Summary
Central Planner at Polaris will manage the order-to-delivery phase of the purchasing process for parts from assigned suppliers supporting a production facility. You will ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing requirements by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, analyze inventory, address supply and demand issues, support new product introductions and design changes, and drive end-to-end inventory and delivery performance by connecting data, processes, and cross-functional collaboration. Key duties include managing purchase orders in the ERP system, collaborating with sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing teams, monitoring MRP exception messages, responding to schedule changes and shipment issues, identifying opportunities to improve inventory turns, coordinating disposition of inactive/excess/obsolete inventory, and supporting supplier integration and accounts payable in resolving invoice discrepancies. The role emphasizes planning, organization, collaboration, and strong communication across cultures, with on-site work and up to 20% travel, and does not offer visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Two- or four-year college degree preferred or equivalent job experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make timely decisions
- Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data for decision making
- Ability to work on-site as required
- Ability to travel up to 20%
