Job Summary
Remote central monitoring role performing continuous monitoring, interpretation, communication, and documentation of video EEG tracings and cardiac rhythms in a hospital setting; duties include initiating/discontinuing monitoring, notifying nursing staff of changes, troubleshooting the monitoring system, maintaining telemetry/EMU equipment, documenting EEG/telemetry periods, and preparing EEG reports; requires HS diploma, environment training, BLS, and preferred acute patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of dysrhythmia recognition course upon hire or within probation
- Successful completion of cardiac monitoring examination and EEG competency examination
- BLS certification
- Cardiac monitoring experience (preferred)
- One year of acute patient care experience (preferred)
