Job Summary
Order assigned products to maximize sales, assist in writing weekly department schedules, and delegate responsibilities to appropriate partners. Apply accepted guidelines and rules to decisions while identifying and addressing high-priority activities first. Communicate clear expectations for assignments, provide excellent customer service, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation. Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control while assisting in merchandising the department to maximize sales using suggestive selling techniques. Possess and convey a culinary level of food expertise with extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years 5-8 years experience
- Previous retail/restaurant experience
- Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment
- Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation
- Strong customer service skills
- Passion for food
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Materials Handling Equipment certification
- Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs
