Job Summary
Order assigned products to maximize sales, assist in merchandising the department, and apply accepted guidelines to decisions on everyday issues. Address high priority activities first, delegate responsibility to appropriate Partners, and ensure all federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met. Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control while providing excellent customer service and using suggestive selling techniques. Assist in writing weekly Department schedules and possess a culinary level of food expertise.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years 5-8 years experience
- Previous retail/restaurant experience
- Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment
- Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation
- Strong customer service skills
- Passion for food
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Materials Handling Equipment certification
- Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs
