Job Summary
Order assigned products to maximize sales and assist in writing weekly department schedules. Communicate clear expectations for assignments, delegate responsibility to appropriate partners, and provide excellent customer service. Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control while ensuring all federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met. Assist in merchandising the department using suggestive selling techniques and identify high-priority activities first. Work under minimal supervision, apply accepted guidelines to everyday issues, and address problems immediately. Requires 5+ years of retail or restaurant experience, extensive specialty food knowledge, and the ability to work in fast-paced, extreme temperature environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years 5-8 years experience
- Previous retail/restaurant experience
- Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment
- Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation
- Strong customer service skills
- Passion for food
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Materials Handling Equipment certification
- Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs
