Job Summary
Stock and sell products to new and existing retail customers while organizing, cleaning, and preparing the back area for incoming deliveries. Keep the sales floor uncluttered and free from spills, stock and rotate items as needed, and reset products to maintain shelf conditions and signage integrity. Check shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality, ensuring all federal, state, and company regulations for product safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met. Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales using suggestive selling techniques. This role requires extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation, the ability to work in extreme temperatures, and must include materials handling equipment certification.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Must be able to manage in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
