Central Maintenance Attendant

Job Summary
Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across commercial buildings and the laundry facility, troubleshooting minor repairs for plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. Help keep these spaces safe and functional while building respectful relationships with stakeholders to provide high-level service. Participate in a shared on-call schedule and follow all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards promptly. Support the wider operations team with additional tasks as needed. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience in building maintenance and plumbing, and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights up to 40 ft, and drive a Class 5 vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- A practical, hands-on approach with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in building maintenance and plumbing.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated approach and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and use good judgment.
- A friendly, professional and service-focused attitude.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence, or eligibility to convert from out of province or overseas.
- The physical ability to safely bend, lift up to 50 lbs above head height and work at heights of up to 40 ft on a ladder and 85 ft on a manual lift.
