Job Summary
Guide prospective students through the financial aid process by explaining sources, assisting with application forms, and creating tailored financial aid packages. Maintain accurate student records, conduct file reviews, and process forms including FAFSA applications and student loan requests via CampusVue software. Demonstrate positive customer service while developing relationships with Admissions and Quality Control teammates. Complete appointment process items, review daily reports, and participate in audits as needed. Work under the direction of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid to ensure quality admissions and a positive student experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school or GED completion
- 1+ years' work experience in basic accounting, banking, office administration or related work
- Degree preferred
- Ability to work at least 2 evenings per week
- Background check required for employment, including credit check
- Employees must be in good standing in their own federal student loan repayment plans
- Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation
- Sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board and use classroom/office equipment
- Ability to use current technology to maintain student records
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
Desired Qualifications
- Strong math and financial recordkeeping skills
- Computer skills including MS Office, Internet and e-mail
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in written form
- Comfortable discussing financial matters with students

- Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum
