Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the grocery department, specifically the frozen and dairy sections, by managing staff, maintaining product quality, and optimizing displays to meet sales targets. Ensure proper stocking, rotation, and accurate pricing while monitoring refrigeration systems for temperature control and managing inventory through regular audits and supplier coordination. Supervise team members through scheduling, training, and performance management, and resolve customer inquiries to maintain a welcoming environment. Analyze sales data and trends to adjust product offerings and drive profitability, while collaborating with other departments and merchandising teams to enhance the shopping experience. Manage department budgets and labor costs to ensure operational efficiency. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with preferred business degree, grocery management experience, and proficiency in POS systems. Full-time role with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- Previous experience in grocery or retail management required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, inventory management, and refrigeration systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
