Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations for Grocery, Frozen/Dairy, Natural/Organic, and HBC/GM departments by directing associates, balancing inventory, and coordinating vendor orders. Oversee product stocking, pricing accuracy, and merchandising execution while troubleshooting workflow issues and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Provide hands-on leadership coverage for the Senior Manager as needed and train Center Store associates to expand their skills. This full-time role at Festival Foods involves working mornings through evenings, including weekends and holidays, with occasional outdoor inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of leadership experience with a strong ability to coach, motivate, and develop teams
- Thorough knowledge of the retail food business
- Prior experience managing a center store department
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to learn and use various systems, including Point-Of-Sale register system
- Understanding of store safety policies and ability to identify potential hazards
- Ability to learn and safely use the following equipment: power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Ability to walk in the store
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Eye-hand-foot coordination
- Full range of upper body motion
- Ability to lift stock
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
