Job Summary
Center Store/Grocery Associate is responsible for stocking and stocking shelves, rotating stock with FIFO, maintaining displays and endcaps, assisting customers, handling inquiries, and ensuring a clean, safe shopping environment. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, inventory counts, labeling with prices and expiration dates, setting promotional displays, advising customers, resolving complaints with escalation to the Grocery Manager, and training new associates. Requires strong customer service and communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical ability to stand/walk and lift up to 50 pounds. Part-time schedule with variability based on store needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous grocery/retail experience is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Standing and walking for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
