Job Summary

Lead Center Store departments including Grocery, Frozen/Dairy, Natural & Organic, and HBC/GM by maintaining standards, ensuring accurate inventory and pricing, and supporting afternoon and night shift operations. Step in to lead teams during manager absences, train and coach associates on performance and company culture, and verify timekeeping while addressing schedule issues. Collaborate with store leadership to exceed guest expectations through product location assistance, special orders, and cleanliness maintenance across work areas and the sales floor. Conduct performance reviews, document policy violations, and coordinate corrective actions up to termination. Operate equipment such as hand jacks and forklifts while lifting up to 60 pounds. This full-time role in Menasha requires mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with time and a half pay on Sundays and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (manager or lead) in retail, grocery, warehouse, or restaurant
  • Thorough knowledge of the retail food business, especially non-perishable department operations, and strong merchandising skills
  • Familiarity with store operations and the ability to coordinate effectively with store and vendor teams
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions, communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment, and manage a diverse team
  • Understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies, with the ability to recognize and react to possible safety hazards
  • Proper training and knowledge of equipment such as hand jacks, balers, forklifts, hand trucks, and trash compactors
  • Ability to stand in place for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk in the store
  • Ability to bend, stoop and kneel regularly
  • Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment
  • Full range of upper body motion in order to lift stock
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment
  • Ability to lift up 50-60 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels, moving between temperature-controlled areas, freezers, coolers, and the receiving area, with occasional outdoor tasks to inspect store property
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
  • Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership experience (manager or lead) in retail, grocery, warehouse, or restaurant preferred
