Job Summary
Stock and organize aisles across grocery, frozen, dairy, general merchandise, wine & spirits, and health & beauty departments, ensuring products are rotated using first-in-first-out methods and displayed according to planograms. Unload deliveries, maintain organized stock rooms, and keep sales floors clean by sanitizing work areas and addressing immediate condition improvements. Verify pricing accuracy, manage inventory levels, and assist guests with locating items, offering product suggestions, and resolving concerns. Support store closing procedures, operate equipment like power jacks and walk-behind lifts, and perform cashier duties when needed. Work night, evening, and weekend shifts in varying temperatures, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse crew in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough understanding of, and willingness to learn all safety requirements and company safety policies (including proper lifting techniques, box cutter safety, etc.)
- Ability to learn and use various systems, including Point-Of-Sale register system
- Ability to learn and safely use the following equipment: power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor
- Must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Working in varying temperatures and humidity levels, moving between temperature-controlled areas, freezers, coolers, and the receiving area
- Maintain regular, timely attendance in accordance with the work schedule
- Provide adequate notice for replacements when needed for occasional absences
