Job Summary
Stock grocery, frozen, dairy, general merchandise, wine & spirits, and health & beauty aisles while rotating products using the first-in-first-out method. Unload deliveries, organize stock rooms, and maintain proper product presentation across all departments. Greet guests, assist with locating items, and resolve concerns promptly. Contribute to department cleanliness by sanitizing work areas and shelves. Maintain inventory levels, ensure pricing accuracy, and step in at registers or support closing procedures as needed. Work night, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse crew in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough understanding of, and willingness to learn all safety requirements and company safety policies (including proper lifting techniques, box cutter safety, etc.)
- Ability to learn and use various systems, including Point-Of-Sale register system
- Ability to learn and safely use the following equipment: power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor
- Must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Working in varying temperatures and humidity levels, moving between temperature-controlled areas, freezers, coolers, and the receiving area
- Maintain regular, timely attendance in accordance with the work schedule
- Provide adequate notice for replacements when needed for occasional absences
