Job Summary
Stock grocery, frozen, dairy, and general merchandise aisles using first-in-first-out rotation to ensure product freshness and proper display. Unload deliveries, organize stock rooms, and maintain clean work areas across multiple departments. Monitor store conditions, address guest needs, and resolve issues promptly while assisting with cashier duties and store closing procedures. Maintain accurate inventory levels and pricing throughout the evening and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse crew in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough understanding of, and willingness to learn all safety requirements and company safety policies (including proper lifting techniques, box cutter safety, etc.)
- Ability to learn and use various systems, including Point-Of-Sale register system
- Ability to learn and safely use the following equipment: power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor
- Must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time
- Work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly
- Full range of upper body motion in order to lift product
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels, moving between temperature-controlled areas, freezers, coolers, and the receiving area
- Must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily
