Center Mental Health Counselor

Conduct mental health assessments for applicants and students to evaluate mood, behavior, and reasoning. Provide short-term therapy, brief therapy, and referrals for long-term treatment while monitoring chronic conditions and coordinating with physicians for medication management. Deliver monthly presentations on mental health promotion and crisis response to new students, and facilitate psycho-educational skill-building groups. Document all interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the Student Health Record and submit monthly status reports. Report adverse incidents to leadership and participate in DOL and Forest Service assessments. Ensure patient privacy by safeguarding records in compliance with HIPAA and infection control policies.
