Job Summary
The Center Medical Director is responsible for leading daily medical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with clinical procedures, and overseeing clinical staffing and performance. This leadership role requires solid knowledge of occupational medicine, and the ideal candidate will have experience in various medical specialties, including urgent care and family medicine. Key responsibilities include supervising medical staff, fostering team development, managing client relations, and driving business growth through effective operational strategies. Candidates must possess an MD/DO and current licenses, with specific training in occupational medicine preferred.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO
- Solid, demonstrated knowledge of occupational medicine
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing rehabilitation services; of worker’s compensation and clinical procedures/processes; and of diagnoses and treatment of occupational injury and disease
- Working knowledge of medical office administration and procedures
- Sound administration and management skills
- Ability to instruct, teach, and correct
- Confident and professional demeanor with medical providers, administrators, and clients
Desired Qualifications
- Occupational Medicine experience preferred
- Board Certification in primary specialty: Occupational Med, Family Med, Internal Med, Emergency Med, PMR, Orthopedics preferred
- MRO certification preferred
- Ability to perform treadmill stress tests preferred
- Current state licensure in good standing
- Current DEA licensure
- Current BLS certificate
- FMCSA certification for DOT exams, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
