Job Summary
Manage the daily operations of a Plasma Collection Center, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with FDA and OSHA regulations, and maintaining facility safety. Drive center efficiency by meeting quarterly goals, managing headcount across production intervals, and implementing process improvements. Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, and shipment records while controlling inventory and freezer management. Direct personnel functions including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions to support production targets and quality standards. Submit accurate daily and weekly reports and develop community representation to attract and retain donors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in clinical or general business environment
- Ability to understand, assess and communicate FDA regulations
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities
- Ability to ensure proper staffing levels
- Ability to maintain adequate levels of plasma collection
- Ability to adhere to quality standards
- Ability to control costs and maintain a budget
- Ability to motivate staff to achieve established goals and standards
- Ability to develop positive relationships with donors, center employees, and company employees working in different geographical locations
- Developing command of and proficiency in at least one functional area, such as finance, IT, HR, or compliance
- Ability to relocate
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory experience
- Prior management experience, preferably supervising a group of 20 or more employees
- Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment
- Experience with plasma or whole blood
- Ability to understand, assess and communicate FDA regulations
