Job Summary
Center/Bus Aide substitutes in a Head Start/Early Learning setting, providing classroom support, supervising safe play environments, and assisting with the health, safety, and developmental readiness of young learners. Responsibilities include supervision and engagement with children alongside teachers, promoting growth across physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language domains, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting bilingual learners, assisting with meals and sanitation under CACFP guidelines, and aiding in transportation, kitchen operations, and family services as needed. The role emphasizes positive, warm, respectful interactions, adaptability to multiple locations within the center, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities to support center objectives. Requirements include being 18+, a passion for working with young children (including those with special needs and limited English proficiency), ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and readiness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications within 30 days; proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus; a high school diploma or GED is highly preferred, with CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education being advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older

- ability to sit on floor, crawl, run, and care for children age 0-5
- proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus
