Job Summary
Center-Based Behavioral Technician role focusing on non-physical emotional and behavioral support for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting ADLs assessments, using redirection strategies for behavior management, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in activities to support growth, attending case reviews and trainings, and following agency protocols. Requires strong active listening and communication, empathy, organization, and ability to work independently or with a team; bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged. Position offers 5–20 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts in Newark, NJ, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. The role requires authorization to work in the U.S., NJ-based certifications within six months, and possession of a New Jersey driver’s license along with background checks and a drug screen.”,
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment, post conditional drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: RBT with supervised experience or Bachelor’s with supervised experience or High School Diploma/GED with three years of supervised experience
