Job Summary
Center-Based Behavior Technician responsible for providing direct client care in 1:1 and small-group ABA therapy sessions under supervision of a BCBA. Follow client-specific Behavior Intervention Plans and skill acquisition protocols, collect and summarize data on observable behaviors, assist with parent/caregiver training, ensure timely documentation, communicate progress to families, maintain a safe and organized therapy environment, and assist with preparation of materials and assessments. Requires RBT certification or enrollment in an approved 40-hour course with intent to sit for the RBT exam within 45 days of employment. Center hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, full-time. Minimum high school diploma or GED; 18+; reliable transportation; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; CPR/First Aid and TB clearance; strong written and verbal communication; cultural competency; and a positive, professional attitude.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and sit for RBT exam within 45 days
- Reliable transportation; may require driver's license and valid car insurance
- 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test if not up-to-date
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 50 lbs, mobility on floor) and maintain safety for children
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents/caregivers
- Proficiency with data recording on mobile devices and digital apps
- Patience, reliability, and professional conduct
- Patience and ability to manage repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Cultural competency and flexibility
