Job Summary
Center Aide Substitute assists center staff across duties at the center under Head Start and related standards. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, performing clerical tasks (data entry, reports, filing, correspondence), assisting with teacher-led activities and student safety, assisting with kitchen duties, custodial tasks, playground supervision, and sick room duties, plus supporting bus transportation responsibilities. Requires interacting with staff, parents, and children, maintaining confidentiality, and following safety practices; participation in local meetings and trainings as required. Familiarity with Head Start mission and program services, teamwork, and a commitment to creating a safe, healthy environment for children is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Six months experience working within a variety of responsibilities to include working with young children, cooking in a restaurant, or cleaning in an industrial setting.
