Job Summary
Provide personal care and assist with activities and social needs for geriatric participants under the supervision of the Center Nurse Manager. Support mobility, meal setup, and feeding while escorting individuals to medical appointments. Deliver physical and emotional care, assist with therapeutic recreational interventions, and collaborate with nursing staff for participant assessments. Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain a safe clinic environment. Requires Home Health Aide or CNA certification, current BLS, and ability to lift up to 350 lbs. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with 30 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Home Health Aide Certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Must be able to assist participants with transfers
- Must be able to assist with personal needs
- Must be able to push up to 350 lbs.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to observe changes in physical condition
- Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- 30 hours
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working with the geriatric population in a home or Day Care setting
- Dementia Training
