Job Summary
Center Aide supports a teaching team in an Early Head Start classroom, collaborating on infant/toddler programming, planning activities, tailoring curriculum to children’s development, and maintaining classroom care. Requires HS diploma or GED, experience with young children, strong communication, ability to work autonomously and on a team, stamina for high-energy activities, and ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area also required. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Experience working with young children is required
- Pre-employment background checks including SBI, DMV, DHHS fingerprinting, National Sex Offender Registry, and debarment checks
Desired Qualifications
- Coursework or completion of Substitute Teacher Training is preferred
- Experience working with young children is required
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Competency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
