Job Summary
Provide support in the classroom, ensure a safe playground environment, and foster the health, safety, and school readiness of young learners. Actively supervise and engage with children while working closely with teachers, and assist in implementing suitable learning activities for children with IFSPs and IEPs. Contribute to transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental specialties, strictly adhering to CACFP rules and sanitation guidelines during mealtimes. Comfortably assist with physical caregiving tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, changing diapers, and feeding infants, while maintaining classroom sanitation and cleaning schedules.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Enthusiasm to work with children, including those with special needs and limited English proficiency
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable sitting on the floor, crawling, running, and performing tasks associated with caring for children aged 0-5
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's permits or ability to acquire them within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English
- High school diploma or GED
- CDA (Childhood Development Associate) within the first six months
- AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field
