Job Summary
Center Account Manager responsible for achieving territory sales goals in the Great Lakes region (MN, WI, ND, SD, IN) by developing strategic business plans, communicating disease and product knowledge to healthcare professionals in Cystic Fibrosis, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to optimize customer outcomes. Candidate will travel regionally, promote Vertex CF products within regulatory guidelines, and build strong HCP relationships while navigating payer landscapes and CF care delivery. The role requires clinical acumen, strong communication, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to expand market reach and improve patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Typically requires 5 years of field sales experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in Cystic Fibrosis, rare disease, or biotech/specialty markets (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and communicate complex clinical disease/products
- Proven sales success and ability to work cross-functionally
