Job Summary
The Cemetery Groundskeeper maintains landscape and facilities at the cemetery, performs lawn care and equipment maintenance, assists with funeral service-related tasks, installs cemetery vaults and headstones as needed, and handles day-to-day maintenance including snow removal when applicable. Must ensure safety and security for visitors and staff, provide compassionate customer service, read and follow directives from management, and be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Requires high school equivalency and 2+ years of maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and availability for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School equivalency required
- 2+ years experience in maintenance or related field
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery
- Ability to read and execute memos and directives from supervisor and/or management
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license
- Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed
