Cemetery Caretaker

Cemetery Caretaker responsible for overseeing cemetery grounds maintenance and related tasks within the City Cemetery. Performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance such as mowing, trimming, planting, fertilizing, flag raising/lowering, and marking internment/headstone locations. Responsible for supervising or training personnel on equipment use, inspecting work progress, maintaining tools inventory, and ensuring timely daily duties. Must communicate effectively with the public, work well with others, follow directions, and be available for after-hours on-call duties. Requires ability to operate landscaping and light construction equipment, and to read/write simple correspondence. High school diploma or GED, 1–3 months cemetery-related experience, and a valid state driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) are required.
